Lothar von was born about 1118 in <Bliescastel,Brunswick,Lower Saxony,Thüringia>.1 Lothar von's father was Gottfried I Von Blieskastel. His paternal grandparents were Count Gottfried I of Metz-Dagsburg and Mathilda of Luxembourg. He had six brothers and two sisters, named Volmar I Von, Gottfried von, Gregor von, Hugo von, Friedrich von, Dietrich von, Hedwig Von and Ida von. He was the fourth oldest of the nine children. Lothar von is no longer alive.-
