James BILLINGSLEY 
James was born in April 1726 in ST. MARY'S CO., MD. James' father was William BILLINGSLEY and his mother was Mary Saunders SUMNER. His paternal grandparents were William BILLINGSLEY and Claranna BOWLES; his maternal grandparents were Major William Sumner and Mary Clement. He had three brothers and five sisters, named William, Francis, Sias, Mary, Ann, Margaret, Claranna and Elizabeth. He was the fourth oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 49 on January 25th, 1776 in Guilford, North Carolina.1 Death Notes
