Helena of the Cross of was born in 0248 in Drepanum,Bithynia,Asia Minor.1   Helena of the Cross of's father was Colius II Cole King of Colchester and her mother was Strada Ystradwel verch Cadfan.  Her paternal grandparents were Cadfan Gadeon Ap Conan and Gladys Verch Llewfer; her maternal grandparents were Cadfan Gadeon Ap Conan and Gladys Verch Llewfer. She had a brother and a sister, named Ceneu or Kenau ap and Gwawl verch. She had a half-brother named Ceneu (Cynan) Ap Coel.  She died in Constantinople.  She was buried in the mausoleum near Ss. Marcellino e Pietro at the Via Labicana,Rome,Italy.1
