ANSELM I's father was PONCE I de TRAINEL and his mother was UNKNOWN CARAVICINA.  His paternal grandfather was DEODAT de TRAINEL.  He was an only child.  He died about 1127.¹ 

They had a son named GARNIER II (Sir).
