RICHARD was born about 1240.¹   RICHARD's father was HENRY de TANKERSLEY and his mother was UNKNOWN MISS.  His paternal grandparents were HENRY de TANKERSLEY and N.N. de POITEVIN.  He was an only child.

They had two daughters named ALICE and JOAN.
