Richard's father was Richard de BAYLEY and his mother was Margaret SHERBURNE.  His paternal grandparents were John de BAYLEY and Mabella UNKNOWN; his maternal grandparents were Richard de SHERBURNE and ALICE PLUMPTON.  He was an only child.

They had a son named Richard (Robert) Sir.
