WILLIAM's father was ROBERT de PIERPOINT and his mother was ERMENGARDE de MONTAGU.  His paternal grandfather was INGELRAM de PIERPOINT.  He was an only child.  He died about 1154.¹ 

He had a biological son named HUGH.
