ABD-AL-MALIK CALIPH's father was MARWAN I CALIPH de DAMASCUS and his mother was A 'ISHA bint MU 'AWIYA BEN-AL-MUGHIRA. His paternal grandparents were AL-HAKIM de DAMASCUS and AMINIA ALKAMA AL-KINANIYYA; his maternal grandfather was MU 'AWIYA BEN-AL-MUGHIRA. He was an only child. He died in October 0705.1 
He had a biological son named HISHAM I CALIPH.
