His paternal grandfather was FRUELA ANZAREZ de LEON; his maternal grandfather was ORDONO el CIEGO COUNT de ASTURIAS. He had a brother and two sisters, named PEDRO PELAYEZ, CHRISTINA de PELAYEZ and TERESA PELAYEZ. He died in 1111.1 
They had a son and a daughter, named GONZALO PELAYEZ and MARIA PELAYEZ.
