WILLIAM was born about 1255.¹   WILLIAM's father was GEOFFREY de CAMVILLE and his mother was MAUD de BRIAN.  His paternal grandparents were WILLIAM de CAMVILLE and UNKNOWN LUCY; his maternal grandparents were GUY de BRIAN and N.N. de TRACY.  He was an only child.

He had a biological daughter named MATILDA.
