J. E. was born about 1861 in Coosa Co., AL.1 J. E.'s father was James Wilson and her mother was Martha R. Davis. Her paternal grandparents were John\Jonas Wilson and Nacy Love. She had five brothers and three sisters, named James Madison, Henry Franklin, James Pinkerton, John Pennington, Marion Willis, Mary Virginia, Lula A. and Martha Ada. She was the fourth youngest of the nine children. She died in ?.1
