Jane was born about 1822 in Pike Co, AL.1 Jane's father was Kilby* Wiggins and her mother was Mary* Ann "Polly" Pugh. Her paternal grandparents were Elihu* Wiggins and Margaret* Kinnard; her maternal grandparents were Jesse* Pugh and Lydia* Sims. She had three brothers and five sisters, named James* Elihu, Jesse Harrison, Mastin Bunyon, Elizabeth, Lydia Ann, Rhoda E., Margaret and Martha. She was the oldest of the nine children. She had three half-brothers named James Elisheu, Mastin B. and Joseph James.-
