He had three brothers and four sisters, named William, Charles Marshal, Albert, Mary Anne, Sarah Jane, Serepta and Emeretta. He was the youngest of the eight children. He died at the age of 79 on December 2nd, 1929 in Proctor OK.1 General Notes

Note: John was married to Susan Metcalf Durham which is proved by a
marriage certificate in Franklin County Arkansas. he was 18 when he
married Susan and she was 24 years of age. They evidently had three
children, Elmer, Zader, and Delilah which we found on the 1880 census of
Benton County, Arkansas. We did not find them listed with John and Nancy
on the 1900 census of the Indian Territory of Oklahoma. (Paul Dwinelle)
This maybe correct but I knew Elmer(my grandfather) and according to what
I have been told his sister were Alice and Anna. (Sherlyn Greaves)
