Calop Taylor Tadlock 
Calop Taylor was born on September 15th, 1889 in Scott Co., MS.1 Calop Taylor's father was Malcom Tadlock and his mother was Selena Grey. He had a sister named Mattie Josephine. He was the younger of the two children. He died at the age of 84 in May 1974 in Scott Co., MS.1 General Notes

He is buried with his first and second wives in Baptist Cemetery in
Hillsboro. He was a merchant for many years before he became Tax
Assessor of Scott Co. MS, he served in the office several terms. He was
elected Chancery Clerk for several terms until his retirement. He was
known all over the state for his singing, and he taught many singing
schools and was a member of the Scott County Quartett for a long time. He
was never defeated in politics and he played the piano well and was self
taught.
