Mary SCROPE

Mary was born about 1476 in Bolton, Yorkshire, England.¹ Mary's father was Richard SCROPE and her mother was Eleanor WASHBOURNE. Her paternal grandparents were Henry le SCROPE and Elizabeth le SCROPE; her maternal grandparents were NORMAN (Sir) LORD de WASHBOURNE and ELIZABETH (Lady) KNIVETON. She had a brother and eight sisters, named Stephen, Elizabeth (Lady), Eleanor, Margaret, Catherine, Jane, Anne, Frances and Dorothy. She was the fifth youngest of the ten children. She died after May 1537.¹
