His paternal grandparents were HYWEL ap TRAHAEARN and NEST verch GRUFFUDD; his maternal grandparents were GRUFFUDD "Gwyr" ap CYDIFOR and CATRIN verch ELIDIR. He had a brother named Dafydd ap. He was the younger of the two children. He died after 1271.1 -
