Jesse Y. Pugh

Jesse Y. was born on December 28th, 1839 in Pike Co., AL.¹ Jesse Y.'s father was Burrell B. Pugh and his mother was Barbara C. Smith. His paternal grandparents were Jesse* Pugh and Lydia* Sims. He had five brothers and seven sisters, named John Sims, Wade Hezekiah, Willoughby Sims, Alexander M., Nathan David, Mariah E., Sarah Ann, Hannah, Adaline, Melinda, Lydia Ann and Mary C.. He was the fourth youngest of the thirteen children. He died at the age of 22 on September 25th, 1862 in Tazewell, Claiborne Co., TN.¹
