LEON's father was BARDAS PHOKAS and his mother was N.N. MALEINE.  His paternal grandfather was NIKEPHOROS PHOKAS; his maternal grandfather was EUDOKIOS MALEINOS. He had a sister named N.N. PROKAINNA.  He died in 0976.¹ 

He had a biological daughter named SOPHIA.
