Imbert's father was Jean L'HEULLIER and his mother was Jeanne de VITRY.  His paternal grandparents were Jean de LUILLIER and Marie MARCEL; his maternal grandparents were Gilles Signeur de Goupilleres de VITRY and Jeanne Alexandre de la CRIOX.  He was an only child.

They had a son named Jean Sieur de la Motte d'Esgry.
