RICHARD (Lewis) was born about 1551 in Leigh, Lancaster, Lancashire, England.¹   RICHARD (Lewis)'s father was EDWARD LEWIS and his mother was MARGARET JONES.  His paternal grandparents were RICHARD de SYCHDIN LLEWYS and LOUIRI FYCHAN verch CONWY. He had four brothers named George, John, Thomas and William.

They had five sons and a daughter, named Arthur, Francis, James, Thomas, William and ANN.
