1870 FEDERAL CENSUS--OXFORD (LAFAYETTE), MISSISSIPPI (Twp 9, taken 13 Sep
1870, by J. W. VAUGHAN, page 531): Living in Dwelling 35 (Family 35) was
the family of L. G. HARDING, reported as age 60, farmer, with real estate
valued at $1200 and personal estate valued at $400, b. @@VA. Living in his
household was L. HARDING, age 32, white female, and occupation "keeping
house," b. @@SC. (This was his second wife, MRS. MARY LOUISA JOHNSON, whom
he had married by the time of the 1860 census; see note on the 1860
Federal Census.) There were 5 children listed, all b. @@MS--(1) D. A./M.
A. HARDING (age 17, female, "at home"), (2) J. T. HARDING (age 15, male,
"at home"), (3) A. A. HARDING (age 13, mistakenly reported as male, this
was Arabella, "at home"), (4) D. J. HARDING (age 13, "at home"), and (5)
A. A. JOHNSON (age 14, white male, "at home").
