Knox Slaughter Hammond 
Knox Slaughter was born on February 1st, 1896 in AL.1 He died at the age of 80 on December 18th, 1976 in Sylacauga, Talladega Co., AL. He was buried in Sears Chapel, Coosa Co., AL. Located about a mile north of Rockford, AL.1 1
Knox Slaughter and Lucy Norton were married in a religious ceremony on January 15th, 1920 in Coosa Co., AL.1 They had a son and two daughters, named Living, Living and Living.

Hammond - Miller
On Thursday evening of last week Mr. Knox Hammond and Miss Lucy
Miller were happily married at the residence of her parents, Mr. and Mrs.
J. A. Miller,
Only a few relatives and friends and friends of the couple were
present, and in their present, Rev. C. H. Bobo in his pleasant style
spoke the words which made them man and wife.
Mr. and Mrs. Hammond are the best families of the county, and bid
fair to make life a success. They leave this week for Akron, Ohio, where
Mr. Hammond has a good position.
The editor wishes for them to have a long, happy and useful life. (1)
