James HOVEY

James was born in 1669 in Ipswich, Essex Co., Massachusetts.¹ James' father was Daniel HOVEY and his mother was Esther TREADWELL. His paternal grandparents were DANIEL HOVEY and ABIGAIL ANDREWS; his maternal grandparents were Thomas TREADWELL and Mary TAYLOR. He had five brothers and three sisters, named Daniel, Nathaniel, Thomas, John, Ebenezer, Abigail, Priscilla and Mary. He had a half-brother named Daniel.
