Stephen Grimes

Stephen was born in 1790.¹   Stephen's father was James Grimes and his mother was Sarah Winders.  His paternal grandparents were Hugh Grimes and Elizabeth Whitehead; his maternal grandfather was John Winders. He had seven brothers and four sisters, named Lewis, James, Jr., William, John, Thomas, Isaac, Bryan, daughter, daughter, daughter and daughter.  He was the sixth youngest of the twelve children.
