Valmont Landry was born on August 2nd, 1835 in Stoney Point, Louisiana.1 Valmont Landry's father was Francois AUCOIN and his mother was Rose Marie (Clemence) RICHARD. His paternal grandparents were Pierre Paul AUCOIN and Marie Rose GUIDRY; his maternal grandparents were Joseph RICHARD INDIAN and Cecilia (Dupuy) DUPUIS. He had three brothers and a sister, named Tresiment F., Francois Philesion, Telesfore and Marie. He was the youngest of the five children. He had three half-brothers and four half-sisters, named Auguste Wallmond, Bernard Lesime, Treville, Marceline, Marie, Marceline and Apolonie. He died at the age of 41 on June 30th, 1877 in Stoney Point, Louisiana.1 -
