Gwladys was born about 1405 in Peutun, Llan-Ddew, Breconshire, Wales. Gwladys' father was Dafydd "Gam" ap Llewelyn and her mother was Gwenllian verch Gwilym. Her paternal grandparents were Llywelyn ap Hywel and Mawd verch Ieuan. She was an only child. She died in 1454.-
