Luis de Castile was born in 1242 in of Burgos, Spain. Luis de Castile's father was St. Ferdinand III King of Castile & LeUn and his mother was Johanna de Dammartin Cts de Ponthieu. His maternal grandparents were Simon de Dammartin II de Aum,le Ct de Aum,le and Marie (Jeanne) de Ponthieu Cts de Ponthieu. He had three brothers and a sister, named Fernando de Castile, Juan de Castile, Simon and Eleanora de Castile. He had a half-sister named Eleanor (Margaret). He died at the age of 27 in 1269.-
