Her paternal grandparents were Roger la Zouche Sheriff of Devonshire and Margaret (la Zouche); her maternal grandparents were Roger de Quincy Earl of Winchester and Helen MacDonald de Galloway. She had two brothers named Sir Roger la Zouche and Eudes.-
