Walter was born in 1348 in Shotley, Suffolk, England.  Walter's father was John de Stratton and his mother was Isabella Loudham.  His maternal grandfather was William Loudham.  He was an only child.  He died at the age of 44 in 1392 in Shotley, Suffolk, England.
