Alice de Lusignan 
Alice was born about 1245. Alice's father was Hugh de Lusignan Ct de la Marche & AngoulIme and her mother was Yolande de Dreux. Her paternal grandparents were Hugh de la Marche X le Brun Ct de la Marche and Isabella Taillefer de AngoulIme. She had a brother and a sister, named Hugh de Lusignan XII and Marie. She died in 1290.General Notes
Frederick L. Weis in "Ancestral Roots---," 6th ed., line 117, gives Alice de Lusignan, dau/Hugh XI de Lusignan, Count of Ponthieu, La Marche, and Angouleme, by his wife, Yolande de Dreux, as her parents. No dates, except marriage [1253] are listed for her, but her father was b.1221 and d.1250 (in Egypt) and Gilbert de Clare is listed as b.1243 and d.7 Dec 1299---so, c.1245 is close for her year of b.

Alice and Sir Gilbert the Red de were married in a religious ceremony in 1254. They had a daughter named Isabella.

Earl Richard (Gilbert's father) arranged for the marriage of his son, then about ten years old, to Henry III's niece Alice, daughter of Hugh de Lusignan, count of La Marche & Angoulememe. Although she had two daughters, the match proved to be both a personal and a political failure; Gilbert and Alice were formally separated in 1271 and the marriage was finally annulled in 1285.
Even before the annulment, Earl Gilbert and King Edward I had discussed the
possibility of a marriage into the royal family.
Alice and Edward I Longshanks were married in a religious ceremony before September 1267.
