Isabel (Elizabeth) was born in 1100 in Leicestershire, England.  Isabel (Elizabeth)'s father was Robert de Beaumont Count of Robert , Earl of Leicester/Meula and her mother was Isabel (Elizabeth) Isabelle , Countess/de Vermandois.  Her paternal grandparents were Roger de Beaumont and Adeliza (Adeline) de Meulent; her maternal grandparents were Hugues "le Grand" Hugh "The Great" , de France Crepi/Capet and Adelle (Adelaide) Countess of Vermandois. She had three brothers and seven sisters, and also a sibling of unknown gender, named Robert "Bossu", Waleran, Hugh, Unknown, Agnes, Havoise, Amicade, Adeline, Mabel, Elizabeth and Aubreye. She had three half-brothers and four half-sisters, named Reginald de (Warren), Ralph de (Warren), William III de (Warren), Ada, Gundred, Ada (Adelaide) and Adelian.  She died at the age of 48 in 1148.

‌Isabel (Elizabeth) and Gilbert "Strongbow" were married in a religious ceremony before 1130 in Tunbridge, Kent, England.  They had two sons and two daughters, named Baldwin, Richard "Strongbow" Fitzgilbert, Agnes and Basilia.
