Anne Welles, living 1396, daughter of Sir John de Welles, Knight, Lord Welles. [Magna Charta Sureties]
Note: Anne (especially if she were born c 1371) may have been daughter of John 5th Baron Welles, rather than the John 4th Baron, but by an unknown 1st wife (before the 1st recorded wife, Eleanor de Mowbray).
Anne de and James were married in a religious ceremony before June 17th, 1386. They had two sons named James and Richard.

James was born about 1392 in Kilkenny Castle, Kilkenny, Ireland. He died on August 23rd, 1452 in Ardee Castle, Louth, Ireland (of the plague). He was buried in St Mary's Abbey, Dublin, Ireland.
Richard Butler , of Knocktopher, Sir
Richard was born about 1394 in Knocktopher Castle, Arklow, Wicklow, Ireland.
