Roger de Newburgh II Earl of Warwick 
Roger de Newburgh II Earl of was born in 1101 in Warwick, Warwickshire, England. Roger de Newburgh II Earl of's father was Henry De Beaumont I Earl of Warwick and his mother was Margaret Du Perche. He had three brothers named Robert Steward of, Geoffrey and Henry. He died at the age of 58 in 1159 in Warwick, Warwickshire, England.General Notes
Roger de Newburgh, 2nd Earl of Warwick, supported the Empress Maud against Stephen, but his lordship is much more known by his munificent grants to the church than his martial deeds. He was taken prisoner with Robert, Earl of Gloucester, at Winchester, who after his release conquered Gowerland in Wales, where he founded the priory of Languenith and was a great benefactor to other religious houses in England. He married Gundred, daughter of William de Warren and Isabel de Vermandois, daughter of Hugh Magnus, Henry I, son of William de Warren and Gundred, daughter of the Conqueror. Wm. Warren was made Baron of Lewes in Sussex and Earl of Surrey by the Conqueror. He died June 12, 1155, and was succeeded by his eldest son, William, 3rd Earl, who died in the Holy Land in 1184, when he was, in turn, succeeded by his younger brother, Waleran de Newburgh.
