Maud Plantagenet de was born in 1163 in Lewes, Sussex, England. Maud Plantagenet de's father was Hamelin Plantagenet , 5th Earl of Surrey and her mother was Isabel de Warenne , Heiress of Surrey. Her paternal grandparents were Geoffrey IV Plantagenet , Comte d'Anjou and Adelaide of Angers; her maternal grandparents were William de Warenne , 3rd Earl of Surrey and Ela de Talvas , d'Alencon. She had two brothers and three sisters, named Geoffrey, William de, Ida, Ela (Adela) de and Suzanne Plantagenet de. She was the third oldest of the six children. She died about 1212.General Notes
