Thanks to Eileen Suggs for indicating that Simon was father of the William, who married Elizabeth & was father of Alice. I believe that Simon had a brother William b. c 1344, father of John b. c 1369, who also married an Elizabeth. I believe that Alice was not the daughter of the William b. c 1344, although in the absence of published sources, it is impossible to state with certainty.
