Isabel Elizabeth de was born about 1081 in Valois now Oise, Picardy, France. Isabel Elizabeth de's father was Hugh de Crepi Magnus , Duke of Burgundy and her mother was Adelaide de Vermandois. Her paternal grandparents were Henry I King of France and Anna Agnesa Yaroslavna of Kiev; her maternal grandparents were Herbert IV Count of Vermandois and Adela de Vexin. She had five sisters named Emma Avice de, Constance de, Maud Matilda de, Agnes de and Beatrice de. She was the third youngest of the six children. She died before July 1147 in Priory of Lewes, Sussex, England.General Notes
Isabel (or Elizabeth), widow of Robert (DE BEAUMONT), COUNT OF MEULAN and 1st EARL OF LEICESTER (died 5 June 1118), daughter of Hugh DE CR…PI (styled "the Great"), COUNT OF VERMANDOIS (younger son of HENRY I, KING OF FRANCE), by Adelaide, daughter and heir of Herbert, COUNT OF VERMANDOIS and VALOIS. Isabel survived him and with the consent of her son the 3rd Earl gave the church of Dorking to Lewes priory. She died probably before July 1147.
