Aubrey III de was born about 1110 in Hedingham Castle, Essex, England.  Aubrey III de's father was Aubrey II de Vere , Sheriff of London and his mother was Alice de Clare.  His paternal grandparents were Alberic de Vere , Sheriff of Berkshire and Beatrice; his maternal grandparents were Gilbert Fitz Richard de Clare , Earl Hertford and Adeliza de Claremont. He had two brothers and four sisters, named Robert de, Geoffrey de, Rohese de, Juliana de, Adeliza de and Alice de.  He was the oldest of the seven children.  He died on December 26th, 1194 in Earls Colne Priory, Halstead, Essex, England.
