Isabel de was born in Amesbury, Wiltshire, England.  Isabel de's father was Theobald 2nd Baron de Verdun , MP, Sir and her mother was Elizabeth de Clare.  Her paternal grandparents were Theobald 1st Baron de Verdun , Sir and Margery (Margaret) de Bohun , Heiress of Bisley; her maternal grandparents were Gilbert de Clare , Earl Gloucester & Hertford and Joan "of Acre" Plantagenet , Princess of England. She had a half-brother and five half-sisters, named William de, Elizabeth de, Margery de, Joan de, Elizabeth and Eleanor.  She died on July 25th, 1349.

‌Isabel de and Henry 2nd Baron were married in a religious ceremony in Groby, Leicestershire, England.  They had a son and a daughter, named William 3rd Baron and Elizabeth.
