Robert II De was born in 1247 in Ixworth & Walsham, Suffolk, England.  Robert II De's father was Lord Of Orford Robert I De Valoines Lord Of Orford and his mother was Rohesia Le Blount. He had a brother named Thomas De.  He was the younger of the two children.  He died at the age of 35 in 1282.
