Bertha de was born about 1125 in Parham, Plomesgate, Suffolk, England.  Bertha de's father was Theobald de Valoines , Lord of Parham.  Her paternal grandfather was Hamo de Valenis , Domesday tenant of Parham. She had a brother and a sister, named Robert (Hamo) de and Maud de.  She was the oldest of the three children.  She died after 1208 in Bowsley, Antley, Suffolk, England.
