Ralph de was born about 1200 in Trematon Castle, Saltash, Cornwall, England. Ralph de's father was Roger de Valletort , of Trematon & Harberton and his mother was Alesia. His paternal grandparents were Ralph de Valletort , Lord of Trematon and Joan FitzRoy of Cornwall. He had a brother and a sister, named Reginald de and Isabel (Beatrice) de. He was the youngest of the three children. He died in 1256.-
