Sir John De Umfreville Sir 
John De was born about 1234 in Castle Prudhoe, Northumberland, England. John De's father was Sir Gilbert I De Umfreville Sir and his mother was Maud Countess Of Angus. His paternal grandparents were [Baron Prudhoe] Richard De Umfreville [Baron Prudhoe] and Sybil De Torrington; his maternal grandparents were (Earl) Malcom De Angus (Earl) and Mary De Berkeley. He had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Richard De and Isabella De. He died in 1314 in Castle Penmark, Glamorganshire, Wales.General Notes
I don't know John's mother, she may have been a earlier wife or mistress to Maud, Countess of Angus. John, though older than Gilbert, did not become Earl of Angus.
