Almode of was born about 1050 in Toulouse, Haute-Garonne, Midi-Pyrenees, France. Almode of's father was Pons III Count of Toulouse and her mother was Almonde de la Marche , Countess of Barcelona. She had two brothers named William IV Count of and Raymond VI Count of. She was the youngest of the three children. She had three half-brothers named Hugh VI "Le Diable" Sire de, Berenguer Ramon II "Fratricide" Count and Ramon Berenguer II Count of. She died after 1132.
