Sir John Tibetot, 2nd Baron, summoned to Parliament from April 1, 1335, to Jan. 20, 1336. This nobleman was in the wars of France and Scotland, and was constituted Governor of Berwick-on-Tweed in 20th of Edward III, 1346. His lordship married 1st Margaret, daughter of Bartholomew, Lord Badlesmere, and co-heir of her brother Giles de Badlesmere, by whom he acquired a great accession of landed property, including Castle Combs in Wiltshire, and had issue: Robert, his successor, and John, who died sine prole. He married 2nd Elizabeth, daughter of Sir Robert Aspall, and had a son Pain, from whom the Earls of Worcester descend.
