Wilfred I "El Velloso OF BESALU was born in 0840 in Urgel, Lerida, Spain.  Wilfred I "El Velloso OF BESALU's father was Count Sunifred I OF URGEL & BARCELONA and his mother was Ermensende DE CARCASSONNE.  He was an only child.  He died at the age of 58 in 0898 in Killed in Battle with the Moors.
