Beatrice was born in 1070 in Anjou, France.  Beatrice's father was Earl Of Anjou Ivo FitzRichard Baron Kendall DE TAILLEBOIS and her mother was Lucy THOROLDSDOTTIR.  Her paternal grandfather was Count/ Fulk III "The Black" Of Aujou; her maternal grandparents were Earl of Liecestershire Thorold Sheriff Of Lincoln OF BUCKNALL and Beatrice MALET. She had a brother and a sister, named Ethelred Of Kendal and Matilda. She had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named William Of Copeland, Ranulph Of Chester and Alice.
