His paternal grandparents were Robert Sire de Estuteville , Lord of Cottingham and Blanche de Rieux; his maternal grandfather was Hugh FitzBaldrick , Saxon Thane. He had two brothers and a sister, named Robert III de, John de and Miss de. He was the youngest of the four children. He died before September 1192 in Joppa, Palestine.-
