Walderne de was born about 1025 in St Clair-sur-Elle, Manche, Normandy, France.  Walderne de's father was Mauger Seigneur de St. Clair and his mother was Miss St. Clair de Bassenville.  His paternal grandparents were Duc de Normandie Richard II, "Le Bon" de Normandy Duc de Normandie and Judith of Brittany.  He was an only child.  He died in 1078 in Killed by English in Northumberland, England.  He was buried in 1060-Lord of Rosslyn Castle, Roslin, Midlothian, Scotland.
