Roger de was born on June 24th, 1255 in Dinas, Cardigan, Pembrokeshire, Wales. Roger de's father was Roger de Somery , Lord of Dudley & Dinas Powis and his mother was Amabilia de Chaucombe. His maternal grandparents were Robert de Chaucombe , Sir and Julian. He had a half-brother named Nicholas 1st Baron de. ROGER DE SOMERY, 2nd but 1st surviving son and heir by 2nd wife; born 24 June 1255. On 6 April 1282 he was summoned to Worcester; on 14 March 1282/3 to Montgomery; on 28 July 1283 to Shrewsbury; and on 14 July 1287 to Gloucester. He married Agnes (d), who survived him, and died on or before 23 November 1308. He died on or before 11 October 1291. [Complete Peerage XII/1:114, (transcribed by Dave Utzinger)]
(d) She held in Sulham and Basildon, Berks, but her parentage has not been traced. On 8 Feb 1307/8 she was summoned to attend the Coronation in the train of the King and Queen.
