Turchetil was born about 0951 in Normandy, France.  Turchetil's father was Torf "The Rich" De Harcourt and his mother was Ertemberge De Brioquebec. He had two brothers named Tourade De and William De.  He was the oldest of the three children.  He died about 1036.
